Luau Saturday May 30

Get your grass skirts out, we’ve ordered nice weather and signed up the hula dancers for this year’s Luau. By popular demand, it’s been moved to the weekend AFTER Memorial Day to allow more people to attend this fun-filled event.

4 PM BOAT PARADE – This year’s theme will be music so decorate your boat and/or dress up like your favorite artist, video, song or style of music. Prizes will be given. Boats will meet at the underwater bridge at 4 pm and proceed counterclockwise around the lake (spectators are encouraged and there’s a rumor a few boats might even throw candy).

5 PM VISIT WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS – The fun continues at the lot on the West Lake side of the underwater bridge. Visit with your neighbors and enjoy music and games for the kids with DJ Jim Hursey.

6 PM POTLUCK DINNER – The Association will provide meat, plates, serving utensils and lemonade. Bring lawn chairs, a dish or two that can be shared generously, and any special drinks you want for your family. The May newsletter will remind you to send an RSVP. You can attend alone or bring friends and family with you as long as they are included in your count.
