How long have you lived in Dunlap Lake? We moved to Dunlap lake last Oct.

Hobbies, sports or anything that brings joy and contentment to life? I have always enjoyed walking and jogging outdoors and now living on the lake, I absolutely love my jogs! The scenery is so peaceful and beautiful! Our family also adores the beach and Michael and I enjoy our Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Is there something you want people to know? My husband and I started an international community development 501(c)3 organization in 2007 called Project Restore. Project Restore primarily works in Africa on sustainability projects for schools, health clinics and communities. We are all volunteers and have no paid staff, this allows every dollar that is raised to be directly applied to a program. We have done some pretty amazing work ranging from drilling clean water wells and distributing mosquito nets to building libraries and computer labs.

Project Restore is holding a Community Costume Dog Parade event for Dunlap Lake residents on October 17th at Joe Glik Park starting at 10:00 am. It is a free event, but a donation of $20 is suggested. 100% of the proceeds will go to Project Restore to support and continue their life saving projects. More information on this can be found on the website www.project-restore.org

What’s your favorite thing about living here? I love how beautiful the lake is during the day and especially at night, but my favorite thing about living here is the people. I have never met so many fun, kind, loving, supportive and generous people as those who live here on Dunlap.

What’s something about you that people may not know? I grew up in Ohio and came from a family of 7 children, I love to cook and I am a huge and avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan!

Who would play you in a movie about your life? I think if I had to pick an actress, I believe I relate a lot to Sandra Bullock.

If you could have dinner with any two people (living or dead), who would they be? I would love to have dinner with Benny Hill. I think that would be an absolute hoot and I wouldn’t be able to stop laughing.

Family? For the past 20 years I have been married to a man I completely love and adore, Michael Keck. Together we have two children: Patrick who is 18 and Katie who is 14. We also have two adorable pooches, Duke and Ginger.

Best memory of the lake so far? A group of neighbors try to meet on the lake every Sunday. We spend a couple hours together talking, laughing, sunning and swimming. We look forward to that boat time all week and we have made some very sweet and wonderful memories.
