Dunlap Lake Residents,

Dam Chair Mike Watts has gotten approval to open the silo today to drop the unusually high water in preparation for the heavy rains predicted on Saturday. The lake water level should drop about 8-10 inches today and probably about the same again tomorrow.

It is expected to go back up on Saturday. Recent storms have caused the water level to rise very quickly. If you have a boat you might want to be sure it is tied securely and that the length of rope between it and the dock is changed as the water drops and rises.
