In June, a confrontation between people on a pontoon boat and fishermen using a jon boat at night without lights escalated to the point where someone was seriously injured. If you see improper behavior on the lake, please do not confront the individuals. Get the boat sticker number and report it to Carolyn, Manager@DunlapLake.org; 618-791-1398 so that proper steps can be taken to rectify the issue.
IMPORTANT – Boats must have up to date stickers.
Residents operating boats without stickers, or without a sticker in their name, will be fined $500. The police will be called to deal with anyone operating a non-stickered boat who is not a resident.
