Lowering the lake last winter seemed to freeze out a lot of the problem plant life Dunlap Lake experienced during the summer of 2016. The plan is to drop it again this winter when a long cold spell is predicted to see if it will work again. It will be kept low through a hard freeze and then allowed to fill up as quickly as rain and snow will fall to fill it.
