For a many years Dunlap Lake has looked for additional property in our watershed so we would have enough land to do natural instead of mechanical dredging (which saves a fortune). A letter was mailed out from City and Village on July 9 to get your vote on a unique opportunity that was presented to the board on June 30.The board is asking you to consider an amendment to the restrictions to make an assessment increase that would give us the income base to acquire the property. To address the primary concern from the last election, the amendment includes a restriction barring any future assessment increase without a majority vote of the homeowners.I hope you will consider this proposal and look into it before you vote. A lot of information on the sellers and the situation needs to remain confidential. Would you consider hosting a neighborhood meeting to give families on your street a chance to ask their questions directly to Board members in a small group setting?

Sincerely,

Carolyn Green
