Volunteer

Get involved and join a committee. Plenty of volunteers make the association run smoothly. Time commitments are flexible, and can be as simple as just being added to an email distribution list.

Building

Develops building standards. Issues building permits.

Common Area Maintenance

Identifies and prioritizes repairs and enhancements of the 20 common areas. Contracts mowing and other maintenance. Applies for and implements beautification grants. Occasionally organizes work groups for commons tasks.

Dam and Maintenance

Works with contractors on dam and infrastructure

Finance

Monitors and reports on association finances. Works with banks.

Fish and Wildlife

Oversees fish population management and fish stocking
Organizes Kid’s Fishing Derby
Addresses nuisance wildlife issues

Legal

Deals with legal matters.

Meetings, Elections, Social Events

Plans the annual meeting and several social events, as well as fund raisers.

Restrictions

Monitors and enforces restrictions.

Safety

Manages boat registrations
Conducts water sampling and assesses water quality issues
Monitors and enforces safety regulations

Silt and Erosion

Removes silt from lake bed and minimizes new silt accumulation

Communications

Works with other committees to publish information to the membership
Maintains website and social media
Maintains the DLPOA Brand and messaging standards
Provides Graphic Design services to enhance communications
Looks for ways to improve our reach to connect to as many members as possible
