According to National Weather Service predictions, Dunlap Lake will probably be in the heart of a storm bringing 4-7 inches of rainfall over the next several days.

The storm they are calling Bill is following the same path as Ike which washed out the culverts at East Lake Drive a few years back. The water level of the lake has been dropped to prepare for that kind of flash flooding.

If you have a boat on the lake you may want to GIVE YOUR BOAT SOME EXTRA ROPE so it can rise and fall with the changing water levels.

If you keep smaller watercraft on the bank please take them indoors or at least pull them WAY BACK from the water. The water gets surprisingly high and we have had big canoes stored pretty far away from the water get washed away and badly battered going over the spillway.
