• WATER TESTING – Recent water testing showed no elevated levels of heavy metals like lead or mercury. Fecal coliform was elevated in 2 of the 3 samples and those areas will be retested. Phosphate levels were high which is part of the excessive algae growth. Lawn chemicals and fertilizers are the most likely explanation for the high levels.
  • PROTECT THE LAKE FROM LAWN CHEMICALS – Avoid using lawn chemicals or fertilizers. If you feel you have to use chemicals do not put them within 25′ of the lake. Let the rain wash them towards the lake and the grass in between will use up some of the toxins before they hit the water.
  • AUTO BREAK INS – There have been a number of incidents where items have been stolen out of cars. Residents on West Lake reported someone taking items from a car parked in a carport and window have been broken to get to items in cars around Glick Park.
