It’s that time of year-the sun is out, boat engines are roaring, and everyone is ready to soak up the sun. There is no better way to kick off summer than the Dunlap Lake Luau!

We will kick off with a boat parade at 3 pm on Saturday, May 24. This year’s theme is favorite movies. Whether you do Hunger Games, Titanic, Jaws, or Finding Nemo get creative and have some fun. Spectators on the shorelines are encouraged.

At 5 pm we will meet back at our usual Luau location, 113 West Lake Drive, near the underwater bridge if you come by boat. Bring a dish to share, lawn chairs and any special drinks. Meat and lemonade will be provided. DJ Jim Hursey with Sounds Unlimited will be providing our music and games for all ages.  Instead of fire performers this year the main event will be a pig roast and pot luck at 5 pm. Help is greatly appreciated in setup on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th. If you are able to help if even for an hour, please let us know.

There is no better way to celebrate the warm weather than gathering for this family friendly event that includes games for kids. Guests are welcome but you must register them and attend with them.

Please RSVP by contacting Jim Seubert at jim.seubert@yahoo.com; 779-1284, or Carolyn Green at carolyn@dunlaplake.org; 791-1398 so we have enough of all food groups.
